Default abs sensor installation problems

So I finally got my new abs sensor in the mail today after ruining the old one from doing a wheel bearing, and got it installed. All of the dash lights went off, but the abs system is still acting a little weird. When i took it out for a test drive it made some bad rattling and scraping noise. I was worried i put the abs sensor in too far or something. i pulled over, checked the sensor it was fine, and i put it back in. then a humming sound(from what i searched its from the controller?). Does anyone know what could be causing the abs on this wheel to be engaging when it shouldnt? could i have the sensor installed too far in, or not far enough in? thanks in advance

It is very possible you damaged the ruluctor wheel on the axle. Make sure it is not cracked or loose on the axle.

Mine used to do that too... it was from one of the ABS sensors sitting too far from the tone ring (AKA reluctance ring as M5S5 named it). It's possible another sensor is sitting too far away, won't necessarily be the one you replaced.

And as M5S5 pointed out the ring could be damaged as well. I had one that was split and literally just spinning on the CV joint.

Jack up the front wheel & make sure there is no play. If you are getting a humming noise there could be a problem with the bearing.

there is one more bearing that i need to do, ill try and push the sensors in a little more and see if it helps.. i think it might be on the sensor i relplaced, the rotor is overheating, but the caliper is not sticking....

Update: Problem solved!
i pushed the sensor in a little further, but im not sure that that was it.. I think i had the sensor plugged in the opposite wire... I checked and the black wires were not matched up. So if anybody has this problem in the future, check how you wired it
