Default Adjustable fuel pressure regulator

The previous owner of my car installed an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

Why would he have done this?

How do I go about adjusting it correctly? I have an air/fuel ratio gauge, but that isn't much help.

Thanks in advance

He may of had a differnt turbo set up or thought he ran lean at some point. You want to just have it set to 4bar (~60psi). Need to know what kind you have to help you set it if its not already there.

It's an audi brand. Has the rings on it. The adjustments are made with an allen wrench.

Here's a close up of it.

Put it this way, its like messing with boost w/o a boost gauge. Not something you want to do.

All he needs to do is get a gauge from ecs for like $30-40 and cut the fuel line and slide in the gauge. All he has to do is pull the fuel pump fuse and let the car run till its stalls out.
