airbag light back on everytime

My airbag light is on. I thought it was the wiring harness below one of the front seats, but it turned out the Airbag Control Module had gone bad and requires replacement. I am holding off on having it replaced because I think they are about $800 and I am done spending money on my car for a little while.

it's the driver's side airbag and yea i thought the airbag might have gone bad but they said, oh it's just a bad signal, we reset it and it didn't come back, give us $250 and i was like wtf, but i couldn't be like forget it pretend you never did it i'm not paying you.
and it's just a wire or something under the seat that i have to zip tie?
