alaem going off for no reason

Default alaem going off for no reason

for the first time today when i got home i parked my car 2001 A4 1.8T and about 5 min later my alarm started to go off, i shut it off 5 min later it went off again...and kept going like that until i disconnected the battery...all doors are lock including glove compartment and trunk....has anyone had this happen to them???

Yea, it sounds like a bad switch, mine turned out to be the switch under the hood. Its like 10 bucks and you can do it your self.

https://www.audiforums.com/m_804565/tm.htm read this person has pretty much the same problem, it might be your interior movment sensors: this thread shows how to turn them off. VAG would help diagnose the problem in 2 secs too.

Yea...I agree with Dallas. Did you have your windows down by chance? If so, then it was just your motion sensor. And when I mean down, I mean like an inch or two even ....
