Almost crashed into a scumbag today.
Weirdest thing happened today when I was commuting to work. I enter a roundabout at like 20ish mph and drive over a puddle. I can see a car driving quite fast towards the roundabout and I slow down cause I was not sure if he saw me but he manages to stop half way inside the roundabout. No problem there. As I was about to drive by him my power steering quits on me and I´m going straight towards him  I had no time to stop because I was already so close to him. But somehow the power steering came back and I barley missed him.
The battery light flashed while the power steering was out.Any idea what that could have been? |
Maybe check the serpentine tensioner - if the belt slipped from the water it might've caused you to lose the steering momentarily.

pretty much what I was thinking. belt slipped from the water splash when you drove through the puddle. the belt spins the alternator also, which would essplain the battery light. |
