alrm key got wet

Default alrm key got wet
i have a 2001 a4 1.8, and my keyless entry got wet, and now iam wondering if i can open my car with thekey, without setting the alarm? many thanks in advance.

There shouldn't be any problem just using your key...

i have jumped into the river with mine take it apart and let it dry for a few days works like a champ after

your key doesnt need a battery to be a specific shape does it?
