Any trick to removing the electric radiator fan?
Hi all,
I'm trying to remove the electric radiator fan (not the big fan connected to the viscous clutch) so as to make a little room for a serpentine belt tensioner install.
Is there any trick to getting the fan out? From what I understand, there's one retaining screw that you remove, then you rotate the fan and it releases.
Mine isn't rotating far enough to release the little tabs, as if it's snagging on something.
Looking into the engine bay, it does look like there's a retaining clip that routes wiring below the fan, so that might have something to do with it.
Thanks,
-Ross
