im a newbie when it comes to v6 audi's and too this forum been reading it for 2 weeks and it seems like a great community of fellow audi owners.im 33 years old service manager for motorcycle dealership in longisland ny.I always had vr6 volkwagens and some 5cylinder 10valve audi's so this whole 12valve 2.8liter is new to me so does anyone make exhaust?chips? has anyone done a 2.7t swap? has anyone ever converted from auto to manuel transmission? any help would be great

umm the extent of your mods will be getting a new motor lol... exhaust will get u nowhere other than sound, there is a reason they say we're slow... and sometines low haha

 

slow and low is cool to me just wondering if they even make headers anything? exhaust i can have my boy make for me he owns a muffler shop out on long island,but has anyone ever done nitrous kit on 1? do you know if anyone has converted these into 2.7t?

 

by converted im guessing u mean complete engine swap? im sure someone has... there is a guy on here thats done the 4.2 v8 swap too.. yes i hear they do make headers but they are cloe to a grand for i think under 10hp gain... and i have personally asked about throwing on the 30v head which they say wont work either... as far as nitrous.. umm if u upgrade your internals (if they make upgrades) i guess it could work... why would u want nitrous on a 12v v6 though?

 

so pretty much slow and low is where it's at!!!! ill just lower it and put some rims on the car and just cruise. it sucks because my volkswagens u can buy anything

 

well im just one person... ive only had my audi for about 4 months... wait till others wake up and chime in before u give up lol... im just going by what ive read... i know someone on here was saying there is a make shift supercharger kit thats for a mustang or something that will work with the 12v... custom manifolds and turbos are always a poissiblity too... but the power to price ratio isnt gonna be in your favor im afraid

Easiest mod is intake. Motodyne makes blower kit but it's 6 grand.

Older AAH engine cams give mid-range and top-end boost.

Modded throttle body gives more mid-throttle power.

PES makes blower kit for 30valve AHA engine for only 3-and-a-half grand. I'm really thinkin' of trading up for a facelift B5 with the help of the saved $2500 and gettin' that kit.

what stickies are you talking about? 1st off i got my car for free from my dad(retired porsche audi tech from bayridge car world in bayridge ny) 2nd i dont like 1.8turbo's even thought you can modify them more for a lot less.
