Anyone running REVO software?
Not going to find a huge amount of people running REVO on the B5 since they only offer tuning for the 2001 when it comes to the B5. Most of those are running the BT tune with the elim kit. Revo prices for the K03 tuning for a 2001 should be the same as their tunes for the B6. Pretty sure its only going to be a stage 1, the stage 1+ tunes for the B6's are a injector upgrade because they have a non fuel return system. The 2001 has a fuel return and FPR just like the rest of the B5's. This is why you dont see any tuners offering injector upgrade stage 1+ kits for the B5's.
Have you throught of maybe going with the Frankenturbo upgrade since it basically looks exactly the same as your K03? I am a Frankenturbo dealer now, it will give you about the same power or slightly more then a stage 3 but not nearly as much power as a stage 3+(GT28rs).
Since you are ndbw, your only options are going to be APR, GIAC or Uni. If your choices right now are just APR and REVO, you can only go APR since Revo doesn't offer tunes for the ndbw cars. They only tune the wide band cars.

I could do Uni but they are only stage one to where with the apr I can go stage two and eek out a few extra hp!
lol I was like "I see what he's saying"Time to make some more phone calls! I was meeting up with the shop owner so we could sit down see what mods I'm aloud and what I'm not and then pick the tune and stage from there! Super nice guy!
Its called bending the rules. lol
Plus he didn't state that he couldn't upgrade the turbo, he said he couldn't go Stage 3 wihich means he coudn't go with a turbo that makes it look like he has upgraded. What are the rules he has to stay within?
IIRC in autox to stay in a stock class you cant even do chip tuning or any power mods. Odd thing is if you do you end up running in a Modified class which means running against cars like my A4.
APR stage 2 is just K03 tuning for an intake and test pipe/HFC, do the rules allow for removing the stock cat and running a CAI?

I'm in DSP (D is the group-SP= Street Prepped)
And a simple answer to your question is yes...
Turbo changes I'm aloud/not aloud...

C. Induction allowances are as follows:
1. Carburetors, fuel injection, and intake manifolds are unrestricted,
subject to 15.10.D. Alternate throttle linkage and connections to
facilitate installation of allowed induction systems are permitted, but
may serve no other purpose. If an induction system item is allowed
to be removed and its original mounting bracket can be removed by
simply unbolting it, the bracket may be removed as well.
2. Except for standard parts as defined in these rules, the external use
while on course of liquids, ice, dry ice, refrigeration systems,
vaporized compressed gases, etc. to reduce the temperature of the
intake air charge is prohibited. Wrapping of intakes with liquidsoaked
fabric is not permitted.
3. As utilized only on engines originally equipped with forced induction,
induction charge heat exchangers (known as “intercoolers” or
“charge air coolers (CACs)”) are unrestricted in size and
configuration. Air-to-air CACs and radiators for air-to-liquid CACs
must be cooled only by the atmosphere, except for standard parts.
Body panels, fascias, or structural members may not be cut or
altered to facilitate CAC installation.
4. Turbochargers and/or superchargers (“forced induction”) may not be
added, changed, or modified (this does not allow ceramic coating of
turbochargers). On vehicles originally equipped with forced induction:
a) No hardware changes or alterations to turbocharger(s) or
supercharger(s), in size or number, are permitted. Turbochargers
or superchargers may be updated/backdated only in conjunction
with the accompanying complete engine unit.
b) No changes are allowed to waste gate(s) size, number, or
location. No changes are allowed to variable-geometry turbine
(VGT) hardware.
c) No changes are allowed to supercharger drive system pulleys.
Belt tensioners may be added/changed to reduce belt slip.
d) No changes are permitted to blow-off/pop-off valves.
e) Compressor bypass valves (CBVs) are considered part of the air
intake system and may be added, replaced, or updated/backdated
independently of the other components of a forced induction
system.
f) Boost regulation systems, either electronic or mechanical, and
electronic fuel cuts referencing boost pressure may be altered or
modified except as prohibited herein. Boost pressure changes
resulting from authorized changes are permitted.

Hmm, not sure they'd let me in that class.
Don, get a frankenturbo. They are so small that tech inspection would probably have no idea. You could claim the gains are from tuning/fueling. Unless they really know VAG's, they'll be none the wiser. I mean look how far a tune and diff injectors can get you on an Evo ya know.

They would be in a different group.
