I'm just gonna say, if you want true top end gains, all this money you're throwing in for a K04 is garbaged. K04's are a waste of money along with supporting mods that you'll be doing exclusive to it....

very true. in the grand scope of things the k04 is only slightly better then a k03. they are good for people who have no idea about tuning, dont mind throwing away some money for an easy direct bolt on turbo with working out of the box software.

if this is what you want then go for it. but just be aware that the cost compared to how much HP you will gain is going to be very high. if you want a more economical setup with tons more power, go for a GTRS or GT2x setup, or even 2860rs eliminator would be good. all of those will give you a much nicer RPM range of usable power (called the powerband) and higher HP number, for almost the same price as your going to pay for a K04.

 

I'm too lazy to do the math right now but we've done cost/hp and GTRS is by far the cheapest

 

i understand the cost per HP when it comes to the k04s vs GT/Rs. and i know that to run biggr injcters/MaFs u need to tune ur ecu. i plan to run a 2871r. the reason i plan to run this set up is that i would like to run a cookie cutter tune to elimnate human error. 2nd, my egine has close to 150k miles on it.

im slowly buildng up the bolt-on so whn the egine tks a sh*t.
