Does the atp testpipe really give you 40 more ft pounds of torque I was thinking about getting this but I have a tiptronic transmission and I have a giac chip and don't know if it will be good for my transmission?

If you don't have to worry about emmisions then, yes it's worth it, and yes your tranny will be fine.

quick threadjack question, how easy is a testpipe installation? crummy utah does have emissions testing, but i would love to have the increased torque so is there a chance that the installation is simple enough that i could put a tespipe on for 364 days of a 365 day year and then put the cat back on for one day to do the emissions test and then take it off again?

Its fairly easy. Especially if you have a lift cuz you can stand while u unbolt it and drop the exhaust. If not have a buddy help ya. It should take 1 hour if you got the right skills and tools.

you will not see a 40ft-lb increase with a simple test pipe, I dyno only 170hp/ 200tq with my milltek exhaust giac chip and test pipe. you might see 10ft-lb.. but most likely not even that much. there's a difference that can be felt for sure but dont expect miracles. the stock cat even with the smaller ports flows well enought to probally not make it worth the cost itself and problems associated with passing insection. I'm going bt here soon and I look back on that thing as wasted money. on the up side it does liven up the exhaust tone quiet a bit and really makes it growl.

I think the DP is about as good as you can get for $165. But I did forget to mention that 40hp is rediculous. No way. Its like an intake increasing 15 horses. Expect 5-7hp.

Dont expect much from a test pipe with a K03other then increasing peak hp.

Eliminating the cat also increases noise! So if your already running a loud exhaust, its gonna get a little louder.
