Default Audi A4 1.8t boost problems

hi everyone, i am stuck with an ongoing problem i have read loads of people have had simular problems. i have an audi A4 1996 turbo, its been re-maped and lowered, it has a brand new K03 turbo on it and its running manual boost. it works fine if i drive flat out from first gear. but if i try and drive normal and accelerate in gears it splutters and boost will hit its max at about 15psi hold it then make a pop noise drop down for about 2mins to 7'8psi then go back up, but only seems to do it in 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th gears not first. i took out the n75 but left it plugged in and it works every now and then. yesterday i tried to put it back in i heard a pop and now i think in as its called "limp mode"...... please can someone help me, i want it to run about 12psi max and hold it nicely with no problems and no spiking and splutters....

mike

I would start by turning your MBC down a touch and see if that helps. When running a manual boost controller on a small turbo like a K03, it can become a bit like an on/off switch. I experienced this a little bit with my current set up at 15psi and it got much better down in the 12-13psi range.

ive tried it as far down as it would go but it still seems to spike, it goes upto the 14/15psi mark and it holds before dropping down and then struggling, but if i drive flat out from 1st it works perfect through all grears... so strange, i will try manual boost down as low as possible now and see how it goes. thanks

I saw you said you've got your N75 plugged in still, did you loop a vac line on it like you were supposed to?
