Default Audi A4 1.8T - ignition module replacement help.

Hello, hope somebody can help me with a few basic things.

Basically had my Audi for a month or so now, and the 2 cylender stoped firing......... after alot of diagnosing, everything else being fine, except the ignition module.

The part number is 4D0 905 351 - I've heard that you can get these from Golf Mk4's and Passats......... I've tracked some down at a salvage, but would they work in the 1.8T?, as I'm confused if the 1.8T needs a specific version..... but then if its the same model number (4D0 905 351) im guessing it would just be a straight swap?

Also, on my dashboard, sometimes i get a 1MPH sign in a circle, and then when i press the button in, a line goes through it, just wondered what that is.

Thanks in advance for your help........... looking forward to going through this forum and getting involved.

I would think that as long as it's got "4D0 905 351" it should be fine. I recently got a new one off of ebay - works fine.
