Default Audi A4 1.8T oil pressure?

I have a 1999 Audi a4 with 118,000 miles and the oil pressure light keeps coming on. I put an oil pressure gauge on and when its at operating temp ideling its just at 10 psi. At 3000rpm its at approximately 70 psi. Is this a problem that can be fixed with a new oil pump? or is it likely that the engine needs to be rebuilt? Thanks.

The oil pick up screen in the oil pan is clogged. Stop running the engine, drop the pan and replace the oil pick up tube, and change the oil and filter.

I already checked that and the screen was clean. Thanks for the input.

Trust me dude, just replace the pick up tube. There is a problem with the design when it gets stuff in there, replace it and you will be good to go. Also, make sure to use GERMAN made filters (MANN, MAHLE etc.) or NAPA gold filters, they have a built in bypass valve if the filter gets clogged. Filters like FRAM, Pennzoil etc. don't, so you will lose oil pressure if it gets clogged.
