Default auto-down windows?

out of the blue, my front windows on 99.5 A4 stopped automatically going all the way down (and up). They both go up and down, but only as much as you push the switch.

Anyone have any ideas why this is going on? Have never had any problems with the windows before.

Thanks.

Generally if you remove the battery the car looses some settings. The windows are one of many settings that it loses. (So I'm guessing you have removed the battery).

Do it one window at a time... hold down the window button until it goes all the way down, then hold it until it goes all the way back up. That should reset the switch so you can just press it once and it will go up/down automatically.

^^ thats half right

hold the button down till the window goes down then tap the button down once. then hold up till the window is all the way up then tap up once. that should program it to one touch
