On the 99 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro, is the fluid seperate? I think on the manual cars the fluid is different, but on the tiptronic automatics the fluid is seperate correct? I've searched and come up with both answers.

I'm going to be replacing a output shaft seal and want to make sure i get the right fluid (gear oil vs tranny fluid).

Also, if removing the output shaft/axle, what fluid would I be leaking? Gear oil or transmission fluid.
