Do all b5 a4's have the computer display that says average gas mileage, average speed, etc? I can't it to display and my wiper stalk definetely doesn't have the reset switch.

Does not every b5 have this? ihave a 1999.5 quattro 5speed

 

Tap the button on the underside of the wiper stalk to turn it on and off, press and hold that same button to reset whatever is being displayed. Toggle button on the end of the stalk cycles through the displayed items.

 

I also definitely do not have the button under the stalk.

 

Don't know what to tell ya, mine had it and every A4 I've been in (all facelift) had it as does my S4.

 

my b5 is one of the last to be made sept 2001 ive got the full stalk computer system

 

some just dotn have a screen you prolly have dummy lights.

 

That computer screen only came on audi's that were fully loaded if you do not have it your car was not loaded it was available from 98.5 to 2001

 

Short answer, no, all A4s do not have that feature.

 

Mine does not. My question is if I install a stalk with the computer control on it will the rest of the system work or is there other electronic components that need to be installed. if its just the stalk I was thinking of hunting one down at the junk yard. Anybody know??

 

Need a cluster with the screen from your year audi to make the world easier there are three types of B5 clusters. If you have the 99.5 that means you should still have the Analog clock so the back of your cluster will have a green blue and small white connector. You need one to match, ill find the DIy for you and post it later you need to run 4 wires from the stalk to the cluster also.
