AWE Boost Gauge Wiring

AWE Boost Gauge Wiring
Installed the AWE vent boost gauge kit today. I hate the way it's wired. The instructions made me wire the backlight to a switched source that gives power as soon as the car is turned on. I want the backlight to come on only when my cluster lighting turns on (ie. when I turn on my corner lights). Is there an easy alternate place to do this in the same general area?
Also, the instructions state that if I want the gauge to sit at 0 when the engine is turned off, I need to wire the green wire to a constant 12v source. Is there an easy one to get to in the same general area?
I'd prefer to hook onto lugs rather than tap into wires, but I'll strip em and tap em if I need to.
On a side note, I'm only seeing about 5psi of max boost bleh. Something must need fixing.

Figured it out myself. I ended up tapping into the positive wire for the backlight on the vent dial. Now the gauge backlight only comes on when the rest of the instruments are lit up, and it dims along with the instruments when I turn the dimmer ****.
