Angry Axle keeps poping out

I have a manual 2001 Audi a4. I replaced both of my axles that I purchased at autozone. That was probably my mistake. The passenger side axle keeps poping out! I returned the first one and got this one and it's been working well for a day. Now I'm in the middle of the road and can't move the car. When I put the old OEM axle in it works fine and does not pop out. What could it be? I had a mechanic replace it. What should I do?!? Any ideas?

If you're talking about the CV joint popping out, the only thing that can be bad is the circlip that holds it to the axle. Cheap axles are known to be horrible, I would just rebuild the OEM one, it'll outlast your car after that.

Where can you buy a rebuild kit for the axle?

Look around the forum. There are sponsors that sell parts here. Make sure you are getting a good quality c/v joint , stay away from anything Chinese.

some generic axles will claim that they meet or exceed OEM specs but most times the real OEM axle that came with your car is the best. If i were you i would go to the junkyard and pull a good looking axle and put that one on there... that could save you some money

This is why I recommend not replacing axles, but rebuilding them. The OEM axle shaft will always be the right length and you can get inner and outer CV joints for a very reasonable price.
