B5 a4 stage 3+ issues. please help.
Do you have a vagcome? IF you do log block 003 or block 054 duing a 3rd gear pull or when you have the issue.
ok so just for reference i figured it out. I fixed a vacumm leak and it didnt solve anything so i figured what the hell ill gap the plugs to .024 instead of .028 and bam. Power back smooth as butter. Just incase someone else runs into a problem like that.
You reallly want to start with a gap of .032 and only make it smaller if there is a misfire issue. Even the pre-gapped bosch F6DTC plugs come with a gap of .040. I run those in my car pushing 37psi.

Well the thing is that our ECu controls the amount of voltage used, increase the resistance of the spark the voltage goes up. At that point the only thing to cause an issue is spark blow out. Go too small of a gap and there just isn't enough spark to burn all the fuel. This is why the range for normal single tip gapped plug tends to be between .032 and .028 for our A4's. Always best to start big and work your way down.
i tried big and nothing. I think this might all be related to a bad fuel filter or pump. My buddy had the same issue and it was the fuel filter. Maybe at .028 there wasnt enough fuel and it was burnign it all out but at .024 maybe it just balances out. So im gonna try checking the fuel filter and get a high pressure pump and adjustable regulator
You are still running a stock pump on a stage 3+ setup? The stock pump cant move enough fuel for a GT28rs or larger turbo. You need a walbro or a bosch 044 pump.
If the fuel pressure starts to drop on your 2000 the AFR will go lean.
