i would honestly just shy away from this one dude... like they say there are plenty of fish in the sea! if they knock off 1500 (which i doubt, cause this is probably the reason they are selling! trying to find a noob who doesnt know they have to have this done so they can get more from it) thats like 6k for the car then you have to put atleast $800 into it right off the bat! that brings the car back up to 7k you paid about...

why not this one?? (jus ttrying to prove the point that there are a lot of a4s for under 7500 asking price...)

We're no worse than you guys, just that Boston is way bigger than any city you guys have. If you REALLY want to see bad driving, go to Rhode Island.

Trust me, I've been scouring the used car market for quite some time, for Boston and beyond. IN fact, this one is in down-state New York (near West Point) so I"d have to drive my *** down there to get it. I've been looking for a solid month, and this is the best I've found...plus, the insurance covering the rental-car is about to run out, so I'm not going to spend an indefinate amount of time paying $50 a day to drive the rental.

For the ones you linked to...those are all 1.8T, I'm looking specifically for the 2.8 (much smaller pool).

I'm definitely going to muscle them down in price. THat's the reason I'm getting the inspection done, really...I want something on dealer letterhead saying "this car needs work."

Why? The 1.8T is better. Faster than the 2.8 when chipped, and also lighter which is a good thing. And, as you said, more available.

"Better" is a pretty subjective statement. For what I'm looking to get out of my car, the 2.8 is a "better" option than the 1.8T. I know it's topic that's been discussed ad-nauseum for years, so I won't go into the reasons...plenty of stuff in the archives if you're curious.

honestly i dont think its too bad of a deal. even though i dont wanna buy another one, i still always check out audis online and this one seems pretty good. i dont think the price is too high considering 90k, but the t-belt is an issue which you could use to bargain a lower price, like 6500. i say at least make an offer. you never know.

never listen to kbb, its poop.. cars or worth wat they r sellin in auctions and on places like CL.. mine was 79k miles, 01, 1.8, with tb done for $6500 and no major problems, just some sensors that need replacing.... id say urs should b around $6200 with no repairs needed.. so add up wat it needs and start subtracting.
