Post Bentley

So I'm trying to get a repair manual for xmas and everyone is telling me, get a Bentley repair manual. Now, I would be all for that, but they're like $60 used compared to $15 for a Haynes. Amazon gave them ratings that favored the Bentley only by a half star, so whats the big deal? I downloaded that PDF manual found on the sticky, is that the Bentley? It didn't seem too helpful, but its probably missing a bunch of stuff. It'd be cool if there was a manual that told me about maintenance and modification as much as how things come apart.

So pretty much, should I get a Bentley or will I be fine on a Haynes?

I have the Haynes, works a treat to be honest. I also have the Bentley one off the 'net on my computer and just dont find it easy to use at all. It shows every little piece as if i wanted to dismantle the whole car, when all i want to do is filters and brake pads.

I only use the haynes manual, its much more readable and does give everything you need for the small and big jobs. I always go for a 2nd opinion from the various audi diy websites before any job too.

I have the Haynes as well and it, along with the forums, has been all any of us up here have needed. I haven't had the opportunity to use the Bentley, and I hear it does have a lot of info that isn't in the Haynes, but so far the Haynes has done its job (mainly to provide torque specs lol).

ok, that all sounds good. I think I'll ask for the Haynes, because none of my relatives will be excited to buy me a $70 manual.

I'm also asking for LEDs to completely convert my interior lights to full red. Just like a submarine lol. I'm very excited!

$70 is not a bad price if it contains everything I've heard. My manual for the 300ZX was $190.
