Default Boost Gauge Pod Options

I'm looking for either a pillar pod or maybe even a pod that would sit flush on top of the dash. I got a universal pillar pod from autozone but it doesn't fit right so I was wondering if there is an Audi specific one.

Got tired of it in the vent. Doesn't look clean to me.

They all suck (I searched everywhere). You'll have to fab your own if you want it to look good.

Here's mine:

That came out perfect. I just ordered a steering column mount. They seem to look ok in the pictures I've seen. I just want something out of the way.

Steering column pods will partially block visibility of your instrument cluster - particularly where the LCD screen is.

I noticed that in the pictures I saw. It's not like it tells me anything important anyways. I find it depressing watching my miles until empty constantly going down anyways. All the important information shows up in the top box.

I'm toying with the idea of getting a numeric digital boost gauge, taking the circuit board out of the circular casing (possibly remote mount the LCD if circuit board's too big) and fabbing up a steering column mount. It should only stick out an inch max so shouldn't block anything.

This sounds cool. Would be interesting to see how it comes out. Totally keep up updated if you do it

Will do. That's only the first step of my plan, in the end I want to make a multifunction display to show things like oil pressure, boost, oil temp maybe, depends on what kind of sensors I can get a hold of. It's amazing what you can do with a $15 Arduino, $10 LCD and a couple of sensors.

Sounds like you've have this idea for a while now. You should give it a go!

If I remember correctly Metalman took out his analog clock and put his oil pressure gauge there, you could probably do something similar if you have the time/expertise
