looking for my first boost gauge for christmas and was wondering if i could install a pillar gauge pod on my 01 1.8t . i know the airbag is there, but is there anyway around that? i really like the pod on the side and not a big fan of the vent...

 

Yes you can even if it has a air bag in the A-pillar. This is because the pillar cover doesn't come flying off when the curtain air bag comes out, the air bag just pops out of the top and the stock A-pillar stays on since there is a strap that holds it to the metal.
