ok so i have problems with player now and when i turn it on it says "safe"...anyone knows how to fix this coz i think it needs a code or something...it might be coz i disconnected the battery or fuses and i just had some problems with locks lol

 

Yeah u need a code to unlock it and its specific to the radio. Its either in the owners manual for the deck (but its probably missing, it comes on a removeable card), or you hafta go to the dealer for them to give it to u i think its like 30 bux. Just search safe on the forum and ull see how to enter the code along (and all of the other places that also could have answered your question).

 

yeah i know how to do it now but i need a code...when i bought my car the guy didnt have a manual so i dont know it...i heard that all 99 a4's got same code but im not sure if thats true tho

No they forsure dont all have the same code, ull hafta go to the dealer.

 

i went to dealer today and they said its gonna cost me $75 do i was screw that im gonna buy a sub, amp and a new stereo from my friends for $150...
