I had a blown speaker and order a new (fully working used on) one from Shokan, it was $77 shipped.

Do you have no sound, or does it sound blown out? Make sure the dust cap hasn't just come unglued first.

Sounds like it is blown, what does it sound like when you put all the sound to that speaker?

You won't be able to tell without taking it the speaker out. On the front there is a round black pad (dust cap), that sometimes comes loose and needs to be re-epoxyed. If this isn't floating around in inside, then the speaker is probably blown.

Check this out:

That wasn't my problem and ended up buying a speaker from Shokan.

Yes, it can be found under the speaker grille. It would be floating around inside if this was the problem.

Dont buy from Shokan - its just cheaper priced crap.
Buy new speakers from Infinity - they make 2ohm speakers, which plug directly into the old system. Sounds great - no weaksauce paper cones blowing out anymore....

I don't know what that means, Shokan sells OEM parts that are taken from wrecked Audis.

Unless you plan on changing all the speakers, you won't want to switch to Infinity.

I just found some guy selling the speaker for $9 or $29 for the speaker and amp together.
AS soon as it stops raining outside i will try to figure out if its the dust cap or the speaker/amp.
