Default both catalysts below efficiency - vacuum leak possible? Please help!

Alright guys, I have 2 days to pass emissions and I'm struggling here I'm one step away from just buying a new car because I don't want to replace the cats but I thought I'd check here first. I have a 99.5 2.8L Quattro.

I'm getting code P0422 and P0432 - catalyst operating below efficiency in both banks. The thing is, I just replaced both cats with aftermarket - non oem - ones about 20k miles ago. I also replaced all 4 o2 sensors.

I've read that possibly a vacuume line leake could cause this error? All of the little cloth hoses on top of the engine near the firewall are very frayed - could a leak in these be causing this? The larger plastic vacuum lines all look fine and are flexible - not too old and stiff.

The other option is that my cats are indeed bad. A few weeks ago my ignition coil went bad and I was driving around with 2 cylinders misfiring constantly. The car barely had power and a very low rough idle. Perhaps the dumping of fuel into the exhaust/cats caused them to go bad. I drove this way for probably 100 miles or so - is this far enough to ruin the cats?
