BOV/DV help!!!! Please. :)
I ran it on my car for a few months and liked it alot. I ended up putting back on my 004 and putting the splitter on my brothers 1.8T passat and it works well there also. I love the fact you dont need the tuning springs or shims to adjust it. I personally wouldnt run it full recirc since the portis a little small compared to a 007 when full recirc and having the extra hole for it to vent move more air overall.
Alright, cool! Now i'm really excited to get this going!
Now all i need is to get my jeep to sell.... No one wants a jeep that only gets 15 mpg... Can't blame em though. that's why i'm selling it! lol! But thankx for all the help you guys! Don't know what i'd do without this place.

I've heard for a long time that the 1.8 isn't tuned for anything but a recirc, even in the beginners thread. Is that just the stock tune, and BT tunes will handle it? Is it a matter of valve quality? Or did that get overturned while I wasn't looking? Also, are there any 50/50 valves with a large enough recirc to go full recirc if you want to downplay the turbo?
You were reading really old info written by people that didnt know what they were talking about. The 1.8t can run any bov that is closed at idle (like a forge004, hks ssqv, tial 50mm bov). The ones that are not closed will cause richness and can stall the car after a shift.
As for hybrids, the forge splitter, turbosmart dual port, and GFB hybrid all work and can be made into a 100% recirc if you choose
