Default Brake light error - UGH!

Hi, new to the forum and trying to tinker on the car myself. Brake light warning came on a few weeks ago, replaced the bulb and everything was fine; now, when I turn on the lights, the driver side tail lights are out and my warning comes back on, but the brake light still works. Bulbs/fuse are fine. What am I missing? Thanks all!

what year is your car? if it is a pre facelift make sure your fogs and rear fogs are off before you turn the lights on. if this works someone did a rear foglight mod

bulbs are good; not a fuse issue. haven't touched the wiring and am using the dual filament, not single. must just be an electrical issue? frustrating!

i am very confused about this? first off let us know what year this may help. and if i am reading right.... both taillights come on when you turn on the lights... but when you hit the brakes only the passenger side brake light comes on? at first i thought you meant all of the tail lights were not working. need more info
