Default Breaks for 98 a4 2.8Q

Hey guys, new a4 owner. Car has 130K, and brand new break pads. Problem is the rotors are shot to hell!
I have a great shop that suggests only the OEM replacement rotors, etc. I have also read about aftermarket rotors, etc that are suppose to work much better. Also the brake lines are shot, and I will be replacing them ASAP. I thought I saw an ad for braided brake lines. I have used them in the past on motorcycles, mostly for looks but I understand they also may help stop as they do not flex like rubber?
So any suggestions for breaks? Go with all OEM or go with after market performance? This is the LAST place I want to save a $, but if I can pay less and get better performance with aftermarket, I will consider it.
Thanks!
Rob

No point in getting slotted or drilled rotors.. go OEM. Especially since its a 2.8.. I could understand MAYBE if it was a 1.8t and you had a K04 or something faster, but the drilled and slotted rotors just cause more brake dust and wear down the pads faster. As far brake lines, it might be cheaper to get aftermarket, that part is really insignificant..

i have the a8 BBK and i'll never recommend anybody to get OEM brakes unless they're broke. steel lines are a good accomodation but you don't have to have it.
