Default Broken exhaust fix it or replace it?

Hey gang,
It has been quite some time since my last visit and this time searching is not helping me. I have a busted flex section of my exhaust the part just after the cat. Ecs has a replace kent section for $100 after a shop welds and instals it it might be around $200. I am newer to audis and am wondering how long the rest will hold up for. I live n mn where snow and salt is plentiful. Should I fix it or spend 5X that and get a SS performance exhaust?

Thanks!

I wouldn't go spending 5x that... but likely you don't even need to order the flex pipe you should be able to go to an exhaust shop and have them weld a generic one in place for just over 100.

Unless your planning anything as far as modding in the future, then this might be the time to upgrade.

Thanks, my sisters husband owns a auto shop he can do t for cheap I guess I am just try to justify to my self upgrading. When I was younger I was big in to modding cars slapping turbos on them and what not. So, naturally I want to do all sorts naughty things to this this car. But with age the urge to upgrade is subsiding but, if the rest of this exhaust is going eventually maybe I should just get like a 800 apr exhaust
