With that price, I would be wary. A car is just too big of a purchase to make online solely and sight unseen. FWIW I am a big purchaser of everything online, and I would stay away from buying a car...I did find my A4 on craigslist, same city however. I would be willing to bet it is a victim of Katrina...
this is part of whatt i received from e-bay

i can not do it in person cuz we live in different states, i found the car on craiglist, not on e-bay, but she wants to do the process using e-bay protection
its a scam i tried using that ebay protection thing too. the business i work in gets these bs emails all the time the cars to good to be true because it doesnt exist. i saw a 2001 325i with custom wheels and custom paint for 4500 theyre all scams to get a down payment and then they bounce.
ok i checked the car on car fax, it does exist , clean title.. so what should i do?? help,, i want the car, ... u kow, im gonna go 4 it
locate an audiforums louisiana member and throw them a couple bucks to go check it out and report back to you.
thats easy enough.
or fly there and drive it back... thats what i did with my 2nd audi
my first audi i just bought it on ebay and prayed everything worked when it arrived at my door, and everything was wonderful lol

I did ebay 2 years ago. It worked out great! I love the car! only I lived about 45 minutes from the car not several states. If I were you I would car fax it and have the seller take it to the nearest Audi dealer to find everything wrong with it. It may cost an extra $100 but it could save you thousands. If i were you I would find the audi dealer yourself and then tell the seller so theres no funny business.

ok one more thing... they said if im not 100% satisfied with the car i can get my money back, am I really gonna get ALL MY MONEY BACK? the owner told me that she is gonna pay for shipping the car back.. so.. should i trust her?
I got my car on ebay too. The guy who was selling it lives near me so i checked it out before giving any money.
I think you should go/fly or whatever and have it checked. It probably is true about the refund, but also it may not be. So don't take any chances and see it for yourself. Sellers can say anything to sell their cars, but once they have the money they're not the same... believe me it has happened to me.
so do whatever you think is right anyways you are the one who's paying!
