a/c works, but doesn't

I turn on the ac and all it does is blow hot air. I looked at the outside temp and it said -100 then it went to +98?

any CELs? Are your cooling fans working? Otherwise, my guess would be the t-stat, possibly coolant temperature sensor... just my 2 cents

Since your outside temperature display is saying such a cold temperature at times, I would try replacing your ambient temperature sensor, located on the lower part of the front grill. You could also scans for codes in the HVAC. Tstat really has nothing to do with the A/C, and you would likely have other issues if it was the coolant temperature sensor.

my outside temperature is pretty accurate but I'm also having a/c problems!
I have check the freon and seems to be the right pressure, what I've noticed that every time my car stops or is running in low rpm's it starts blowing hot air(not cold)!!!Any advised??

I think you Auxilary fan is not coming on to cool your condenser... Mine is blowing warm at a stop also... I need to do some trouble shooting...

Your secondary fan is most likely not coming on... it's the electric fan on the left when you pop the hood. It could be a bad fan motor. Mine had a blown fuse...... it's a 40 amp large fuse under the dash on the driver side (you have to remove the lower part of the dash). I would check that first.

mine does that too sorta. my solution, open windows +sunroof and hope for a breeze. winters coming up though, I hope my heating works.
