can't read obd2, misfire CEL ICM or coils?
I have a cel most likely due to a misfire (it seemed like it was when driving the car).
I went to napa but the code reader would not read my codes, unable to connect to obd2. My car has a aftermarket radio with the k-line NOT in use, but my car also has a abs control module that is not working. I have read you need to disconnect the module, do you guys think this will work? I just find it weird cause my cars emissions were performed and i am pretty damn sure they check the obd2 port on that and nothing has been changed since then.
I am trying to contact a vagcom user in connecticut currently but no avail til monday at the earliest.
my car is a 1999.5 with a aeb motor, i have read that the coils rarely go in the aeb and its most likely the ICM, anyone comment?
