sup fellas well i was driven and came to a stop and car died and dont want to start. light turns on inside dash and electronics work. and i try to turn it on it sounds like it wants to start but doesnt spark or somthing. what could it be? my dad said maybe the fuel pump? any ideas?

 

When you put it in run, do you hear the fuel pump?

 

i have 99 audi a4 1.8t manual so when i try to turn it onit does the tttttt from the ignition but it just wont get that spark or sumthin to turn on?

 

turned out to be my fuel pump went bad so got it replaced for $398.00

 

Did the engine light come on?
I had a really similar problem.
My car was running pretty rough in idle as well.
Was it the same for your car?
I'm taking it into Audi tomorrow, but just want to get a general idea.

 

no engine light. runs good tho but not sure on the idle part?
