Did you clear the sunroof drains?

i looked that up, but i dont see how water can get in there if its closed. i guess when i get time ill have to clear them, but will that really flood the drivers side of my car? like its more wet in the back than the front.

The sunroof is not water-tight. It's designed so that water seeps past the seals and onto the trays and down the drain tubes. Open the sunroof and pour a cup of water down the trays towards the front and see where the water comes out (if at all).

originally i thought it was the hole in the firewall where the hood release cable comes through, i ran my amp cable through there and never filled the hole, then i had like 2 inches of standing water in my car, so i filled it with some self expanding stuff and i think water is still getting through, ill have to get a better filler, what would you guys recommend, thats like a silicon type sealer? and if thats not it, ill clear the drains in my sunroof this weekend, only time im off from work, past few weeks ive been working 40 hrs

I would definitely second the sunroof drains being plugged. I had to clean mine last month because the headliner was getting wet after a rain. The drains go in both directions, 2 forward and 2 backward.

Yeah you would notice stains on the headliner and pillars if the sunroof was leaking, my vote is that wiring you ran. You need to get yourself some clear silicone, the same they use to seal sunroofs, body plugs etc. Its designed to resist water.
