Hey,

I'm new to these forums and I recently changed my oil on my car and now I am having problems with my car. While I was driving at around 65 mph and I punched the gas to pass a car this thick white smoke would come out of the exhaust until I released the throttle.

Also, when at a stop and trying to accelerate sometimes the car would act like it's in neutral and it would only rev until I released the throttle and only then after I would give it some gas would it accelerate. Additionally, while driving the car will sometimes rev like it was downshifting and it seemed like it had a hard time deciding what gear it should be in, sometimes it would shift gears without me changing speeds.

some information about which car you have might not be a bad idea to include.

 

Sorry about that, its a 2000 1.8TAQ with 118k miles on it.

 

check your computer transmission that might be it its right under the passengers seat
