central locking module disfunctional due to leaking vent, where's the vent?

my central locking module isn't functional due to a vent letting water into the trunk and it flooding it.

anyone know where that vent is by chance? the audi tech guy said it was a vent for if the airbags go off it lets air out of the cabin. so if its leaking water, i need to fix it so it doesnt happen again

hmmm thats a new one to me... makes sense about the vent though. is your whole trunk flooding or just the little part where the pump is?

well, ive noticed the floor gets damp and wrinkles my books and paper, but the dealer service tech guy said the compartment that the pump was sitting in was "flooded"

they drained it when they looked at it.

i paid them $150.00 for them to tell me this.

lol. sounds like a dealer to me. When you say "floor", do you mean the lowest part of the trunk compartment, or the actual foot wells in the back? I'm at work at the moment but i can try to get out at lunch and snoop around my trunk, see if maybe i can help you out finding that vent.

There are vents in the sides of the trunk in the very back pockets, pretty much right in front of the tail lights. The vents let pressure out of the trunk when you slam the trunk lid.
