Change-over Valve?
I was replacing vacuum lines and I followed one to the front of the intake manifold where it went to an actuator. The vacuum line was stuck and I ended up breaking off the nipple. I'm trying to repair it but I'm trying to find one in case my repair doesn't work. I got next to nothing researching what this part is. The Haynes manual calls it a "change-over valve actuator". But I can't seem to find one anywhere online. Does anyone know its part number? The only numbers on it are "29 003 01 919" and "29 003 01 279". I can't find anything with either of those numbers though.
You can see it here 12v Pages - The Engine - Component Locations
It's not showing on a engine diagram so I can't find the part number on vagcat.

Sorry, I should have specified. It's the 30v engine. So it's on the front of the intake manifold instead of the rear. After a couple more hours of searching, I finally found the part number for it. It is 078 133 619. I already put it back on my car so I don't have a picture of it and the only one I found online shows it attached to the part that goes into the intake manifold. When you unbolt it, you just have what you see starting from the left up to the orange rubber gasket.
I know which part you're talking about. I recently broke the arm on mine so I found one on ebay. I just threw away the old one unfortunately otherwise I'd send it to you. You just gotta search all over ebay. I got mine for like 35shipped.
Hello. My name is Igor and I live in Brazil. I own a German B5.5 Audi A4 2.4 30v V6 (APS engine, most components are common to the 2.8 30v V6 AHA). Recently I started to have problems at low RPMs, and the car felt slow even at high RPMs, I checked the changeover mechanism and it was stuck. So, I decided to clean the changeover valve. The engine is running fine now, but I found some things that I would like to clarify. Is there a seal between that tapered washer and the changeover barrel? In mine there isn't any. Inside the intake there is only the barrel and the tapered washer, which in fact has a gap when looking at it in the barrel. Am I missing any parts? The only seal I have in my car is the one in the vaccum actuator (the red one in the picture that was posted). There are also some plastic seals in the barrel divisions. In fact mine looks exactly like the one in the picture, added the metal tapered washer at the intake end.
