Default Chip comparison videos.. who wants to help?

I'm surprised there isn't a side x side video of stock, apr, giac, speedtuning, etc etc chips.

If anyone wants to record a 0-60 video of their car, along with the mods they have I think that'll help all the new guys decide.. (granted there isn't much of a difference, or so everyone says)

I can do stock set up w/ APR stage 1 chip..

Good idea, I wish that existed when I was looking for tunes. But in reality most stage 1 chips are the same, it's the bigger tunes that has a lot more difference

I think I'm going with GIAC for my B5. I read in the guide that's what most say is the best for my model.

I'd suggest the Speedtuning Stage 1 or 2 (if you can get 93 octane). Lets be honest, given the fact how close all of the Stage 1 or 2 are (from personal experience especially), you then have to look at cost. With that said, nobody comes close to ST at $125, plus shipping. I ran their Stage 1 on 91/92 octane for 5 years with ZERO issues. I paid $125 Ebay Buy It Now, and remember paying $20 for overnight shipping of my ECU to Spencerville Maryland where they're located. Depending on your state's standard for Smog/Pollution testing on vehicles, ST ($150 w/ shipping) and a 2.5-3" Test Pipe ($159 ecodetuning + shipping) at minimum is my recommendation, but if you have an extra $400 or so, a 2.5" XS Power exhaust from "their website" with free shipping. Another thing you'll need is a 710N DV from the Audi TT ($50 from wherever) From stock, this setup will make you happy if you're used to stock not too mention is the CHEAPEST route for all 4 items listed, trust me.

Interesting I'll have to look into it. When it comes to the engine I'm not looking to cut corners. I don't plan on doing any modifications. I've got my exhaust done already by a local shop. It's the stock piping into 2.5 inch stainless. There's emission testing every inspection in NH. I planned to go with the forge 007 DV as well.

I'll do some looking for speed tuning. Any threads about them here on AF?

Of course, just type speedtining in the search bar man....plenty out there....

By no means is Speedtuning Software for Stage 1/2 "cutting corners"......

According to the newbie guide speedtuning isn't the greatest. Hit or miss it says. To save a couple hundred isn't worth it to me. It has to do with what is running the car so I'm okay paying extra for something that I know is good and realible and that I'll be able to get support on if I need to. There's a GIAC flash place about an hour from me if anything was ever to happen.

Like I said not set in stone but first impressions not liking sppedtuning. Could be completely wrong and I realize that just saying how I feel.

Looks like their tune is $250 don't know if that includes shipping or not GIAC is $450 so not major savings like it sounded like it was going to be.
