I spoke to the water ingress administration office. They said that if anybody gets their sunroof fixed BEFORE July 23, 2010, they they are eligible to file a reimbursement claim form.

Right...you have to front the bill at first, but you get your money back. My point was that it doesn't only apply to those who have ALREADY had their sunroof fixed, but that if anyone is having this trouble and hasn't taken it in for repair, they have until 7/23/10.

yeah but theres no guarantee you get your money back. so you have to pay for the fix, and hope everything comes through.

I guess my question would be, if you meet all the criteria in the letter, and of course you recieved the letter, why wouldn't you get reimbursed? Shouldn't the Audi dealer be able to tell you if you qualify?

Audi knows you should have a problem since they sent you a letter with your VIN on it. But I'm sure there are many people who don't have any problem at all.

I have a friend with a 2005.5 A4. She just got the letter. She bought her car in '08 and has not had any problem with the sunroof leaking. After seeing the letter, she's concerned that she will have problems in the future.

Was there any sort of silent recall on this. Could it have been repaired prior to her buying it? Is there even a repair, or is cleaning the drain tubes the repair?

Anyone have experience with having the dealer clean the drain tubes? Did they charge you?

Thanks!
