LUK is just a company that makes pressure plates and disks. It was most likely just a OEM replacement.

70 = just under 3200 rpm
75 = just over 3400 rpm

Here you go

my mechanic at my local VW/Audi Shop here in VT quoted me between 5-6 hundred for my clutch job.. i havnt gotten it done yet since im gunna wait til everything else is set before that gets done, but why half of what the OP was charged? this is for an OEM replacement..

1200 sounds about right, my mechanic charged me that for my stage 3 clutch about a year ago. He said it took 9 hours. I guess he just took his time.

$500-$600 is usually the cost of Labor alone. The $1200 was labor/parts.

Yeah, in the end most of the bill was labor. The clutch was only $440. The rest was in labor.

The car is already chipped from the person who owned it before me. I am new to this Audi thing, so bear with me.

maybe the way he said it, he knew he meant 5-6 in labor plus parts.. but when i asked him typically where does that end up around? and he said its between a 5-6 hundred dollar job.. i took it as the whole sha-bang.. 1,200 is alot to shell out.. not lookin forward to it if thats the case.. not that im "looking forward" to 600 but.. way better than 12..
