Code P0332. Buy a new Knock Sensor? Help
I've got three codes on my 1998 2.8V6
P0332 (knock sensor #2, low input) P1137 (Fuel trim too lean at idle bank1) P1139 (Fuel trim too lean at idle bank2) A search says either the knock sensor is loose or it's fried. Don't have the VAG scanner to test for the latter. I wonder if my Actron CP9180 can tell via its freeze frame or PID? It's a big job to get to the knock sensor. Injectors, coils, TB, manifold have to come off. Lots of new gaskets. At least a day for an audi noob like me. If I can't test the sensor, I might as well just buy a new one and replace it if I have to go thru all that work, right? Should I replace both? Is this an unusual problem? I plan to clean the MAF sensor and run some Techron to attack the last two codes. -Harry |
u might also wana pull ur O2 sensors out and clean those of also so that when u done with everything it reads it corectly. u have to buy a special cleaner tho for the O2 ,its not expensive tho
