Code p1545
 

ok so my mechanic pulled code p1545 from my 98 a4 2.8 30v..... he said the throttle body needed to be replaced....will that be the solution.. or is there anything else i can do..... the car looses acceleration and or power....stalls on fresh start and sometimes battery just dies any help greatly appreciated......could it be the throttle body position sensor?..... code reads...throttle position control malfunction...

Well you can try to reset the throttle like this:
-Push gas pedal to the floor
-Turn key to the "on" position
-Keep throttle depressed an count off thirty seconds
-Turn key to the "off" position
-Release throttle fully

Start the car after that and see what happens.

you can reset throttle body sensor by

unhooking battery for about an hour or so and then reconnecting it, turning the ignition to the on position but not starting the engine. leave it there for about 15 minutes. then turn it off. should be done after that.
