Cold Air Intake vs. Short Ram Intake

Hey guys!

So I was looking at the Carbonio Cold Air Intake and HKS Super Mega FLow Reloaded Kit. And was hearing alot of skeptical opinions on the Crabonio intake about the amount of HP and Torque it actually adds and is not worth the $350 But I've also read contradicting opinions too. I'm still a little decisive about which route to go either cold air intake or short ram... I just have a few questions?

Which one do YOU recommend?

Which one outweighs the cost?

Any other intakes I should look at?

Thanks Guys!

None of them really outweigh the cost. The stock intake is very well designed and our cars do not generally benefit from an aftermarket intake.

That being said, I have a Carbonio intake and love it. However I bought it mainly for the aesthetic appeal. It looks great. If I gain some power from it, cool. If you do install a cone filter of some sort, you should also buy or fab up a heat shield.

I should also say I would never pay $350 for a brand new Carbonio. I picked up a used one for $150.

This... until you're making 350+ HP, the stock one is sufficient.

I just deleted the air box and put a cone filter at the end of the TIP. Sounds good but gets old. Put a heatshield there as well. At the very least i would say you get more throttle response. Of course who knows how old my old filter was. Previous owner was neglectful.
