Computer Malfunction
Ive got an Audi A4 B5 98 2.8 quattro and for some odd reason the in dash computer is malfunctioning. The car was in a small head on collision that damaged some body panals but nothing important. The fuse is not blown. The in-dash computer will light up when the car starts and at night you can tell it says OK at the top but after a couple of seconds it will go blank again. Does anyone have any idea on how to remedy this without the use of a $85.00/HR Mechanic? I have not been able to get in touch with the original owner since I bought it to see about a timeline for the problem(pre or post crash). So any input would be helpful.
P.S.-Any decent sites for used audi parts IE black front bumper for my B5 would be appreciated.
Thanks,
-Lee

In the owners manual it shows a display of the in-dash computer read out as showing the total trip mileage, mpg, etc., Does your in-dash show you this? Mine is completely blank after the initial OK.
I will give it a try. Sometimes it is that simple. All I was going by was the owners manual. If anyone else has any ideas at all feel free to pass them along.
