Default Concert Radio Code

I bought a Concert Radio, single CD unit from a guy on e-bay. He said it's from an 04, my car is a 99, it's plug and play, but comes up safe mode. He said he has no code for it and gave me the VIN for car. I called dealer with VIn and radio number, they want me to bring car in, closest dealer is an hour away and 100 bucks. They also claimed if the previous owner changed the code from the factory setting, they won't be able to retrieve i, I don't have 100 bucks to throw away. There's gotta be some other way. Can I change it with the Vag Com? I searched and someone mentioned a thread showing radio codes, but can't find it. Can anyone help me?

Try calling Audi of America with the VIN and see if they'll get you the code. If you talk to the right person, they may give it to you for free.

I was going to post the link for the Concert Radio at ECS Tuning yesterday, but apparently they are out of stock right now. They only have the Symphony II and Delta radio in stock.

You should keep checking back there, though, because ECS usually has Concert radios for about $35.
