Coolant temp sender

Default Coolant temp sender

Can anyone give me detailed intructions preferably with pictures on how to fit a new coolant temp sensor. My temp gauge isn't moving above 70 degrees. Thanks peeps

I would diagnose it first to make sure it isn't the thermostat first, once you figure that out you can tell us what engine you have so we could actually give you instructions to change it.

Sorry, what an idiot I am... I've got an 2000 1.8T Quattro sport Oh and the thermostat was swapped out about 6 months ago.

well i would still like a write up or link for a 12v.. cuz i think it was audi tech, but someone suggested i replace mine due to cold start being sluggish or somethin lol

for the v6 engines it's behind the passenger side cylinder head.
