B5 cup holders FTL.....
Force it closed and then just press it like a button and it should pop up. If not, try LIBERALLY applying "goo-gone" there may be old soda or something in there....like mine.

Mr. Phil 09-06-2009 10:34 PM

WTF, where is the late model b5 cup holders located, mine is a 97 and located in the center in front of my e-brake and consist of two 2" flaps that pop up and hold the cup/whatever. I have tried to use them but gave up after spilling a few times and now roll with a soda tray under my pass seat.

They're not cup holders. They're cup relaxers.

YOU WILL CRACK THIS TRIM PIECE IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL IN TAKING IT OFF! YOU SHOULD HAVE THE CORRECT TOOLS FOR THIS.

I believe you also have the wood trim, this WILL crack and it is pretty expensive to replace. You've been warned.
