Alright, I opened the cup holder above the radio in my 2001 A4 earlier today, but now it won't close. I took off the paneling and removed the mechanism. There was a lot of gunk on it (from the previous owner) which I cleaned off with a few Q-tips and rubbing alcohol. That was not the problem, so I took apart the mechanism and reassembled it and it still won't close. I don't feel like spending $115 at ECS tuning on a new one and I can't fine one for a 2001 on ebay. I'm going to try Shokan.

But on second thought, I'm afraid to put anything in it because it's right above the radio. So, what else can I put in there? I do not have an iPod, I have an Archos 5 instead, so the ipod drawer will be useless for me, but maybe there's something else I can do. any suggestions?
